Not all gambling is a problem, but to stay safe please remember these golden rules of gambling:
· Don’t risk what you can’t afford to lose — never gamble with money you need for other things. Gamble within your weekly entertainment budget, not with your phone bill, grocery or rent budget
· Gambling is not an easy way of making money — in the long run the house always wins. Any gambling activity should be viewed as entertainment. Consider your losses as a cost of that entertainment
· Don’t gamble when you’re depressed or upset —Decision-making can be more difficult when you’re stressed or emotionally upset. Make sure you only gamble when you’re feeling clear headed and never gamble to escape your problems
