Kariong OOSH is seeking skilled, passionate, experienced child educators who are experienced in being the daily responsible person (supervisor).
We are a program of Kariong Neighbourhood Centre and operate out of its premises, we are a not for profit organisation offering high quality care for up to 75 children a day. Your role:
- Assist in the provision of a high quality OOSH program
- Actively planning and implementing a fun and innovative program
- Create a collaborative and caring environment for the children
- Contribute to and assist in documenting evaluations of the program
- Be aware of and comply with the services WHS policies and procedures
- Foster a rich play environment consistent with the My Time, Our Place Framework
- Work collaboratively with families
- Actively engage with children during the implementation of the program
- Supervise casual educators, volunteers and students on prac placement
- Work in an inclusive way with children with additional needs
Essential Criteria:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a supervisor role
- Minimum Certificate 3 in Children’s Services
- A current Working With Children Check
- A current First Aid Certficate
- Asthma and Anaphylaxis
- Child Protection Certificate or willing to obtain
- Computer skills
- Time management skills
- An excellent understanding of National Quality Framework- for school age care- My Time Our Place
