Its time for this month’s news from Kariong Rural Fire Brigade.

This month has been a busy month across the state with major fires in the Kempsey and Port Macquarie areas. Kariong sent a crew as part of the Central Coast strike team to the Kempsey fires. The team spent 5 days strengthening containment lines and relieving local crews.

The outlook for the fire season ahead appears to be a continuation of the dry weather that we have seen this winter. The brigade would like to remind residents that now is the time to prepare your property and decide what you will do in the event of a bushfire.
