About Us

Kariong Neighbourhood Centre is located in the heart of Kariong and is a community hub for Kariong and surrounding areas in the Central Coast Hinterland. Built for the community in 1988, the Centre is leased to Kariong Neighourhood Centre Inc by Central Coast Council.

Supporting our community

We are funded by the Department of Communities and Families to provide practical assistance and support to vulnerable and at-risk families and community members, including food and emergency relief, referral pathways to specialist crisis support services, and referrals to NILS and EAPA financial supports.

We provide information and advice to socially and geographical isolated community members and facilitate opportunities for all community members to participate in volunteering and community events.

Playgroup and parenting support @ the Neighbourhood Centre

Each week, during term time families with young children are welcomed into the Centre for our Active Playgroup, and throughout the year we provide opportunities for families to access additional parenting skills building and support.

Before and After School Care and Vacation Care

Our accessible and affordable vacation care and before and after school care program supports families to access work, study and respite, with priority of access to families who have, or who are experiencing, family violence.
