Its time for this month’s news from Kariong Rural Fire Brigade.

This month we would like to bring your attention to an application called Fires Near Me. Fires Near Me is a free application offered by the NSW RFS and is a platform that provides information about fires in your local area and updates on major fire activity.  The app also includes other helpful information such as fire danger ratings and emergency information such as tips of what to do in a fire situation.  A new message feature was recently added where fire alerts and information can be pushed to your phones notifications.

We encourage you to visit your relevant app store and download this helpful application. Being informed of fire activity is a crucial factor of your bushfire survival plan.
